La Bonne Saison

"La Bonne Saison" means the good, or beautiful season. There is a saying, that childhood is life's most beautiful season. I have found truth in this, first as a child myself- and again, as a mother witnessing my daughters in the spring of their lives.

This second glimpse has been nothing short of a revelation to me, inspiring deeper gratitude in my relationship to nature. It matters to me that we can clothe our babes in fibers that grew from, and will return to the earth. And, in garments fashioned to last from one sibling to the next, that have only become more special with time because of the joyful memories made in them.

There is something there worth preserving. I feel similarly drawn to the magic of the handmade. Perhaps it's the way creation demands our vulnerability, asks us to be patient and intentional... and what comes forth is something imperfect, unique, sincere- mirroring our humanness, and certainly in my experience: motherhood.

My wish is that you will find the toys, books and clothes here that will become the keepsakes of your little one's childhood. I hope you discover something special here and share it with someone you love, just as I am here to share it with you!
